Nate Geare

Geare’s latest paintings have been inspired by some of the world’s most amazing museums of contemporary art. The buildings themselves are as much a work of art as their priceless contents. “Starchitects” such as Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind, Randal Stout, and Rem Koolhaas, to name a few, have been commissioned by various institutions over the last 20 to 30 years, to bring their respective museums into the 21st century with gravity defying bravado. These buildings have become the inspiration or impetus for Geare’s current series of oil paintings, Deconstructivist Barnisms.
